Potomac State College of West Virginia University is the state's only residential junior college, with an estimated enrollment of 1,500 students. It is located in Keyser, West Virginia about 90 miles from the main campus of West Virginia University in Morgantown.

Situated in West Virginia's eastern panhandle, the 16-acre campus is ideally located for the enjoyment of the state's proud mountain heritage. The school was founded in 1901 as the sub-collegiate Keyser Preparatory Branch of WVU and was soon renamed as the West Virginia Preparatory School before evolving into its present status as a full junior college.
Due to student population growth in excess of 50% over the past five-years, Potomac State College was in desperate need of additional student housing. To meet this increased demand, it turned to Manheim, a leader in designing and building state-of-the-art student housing.

Like most student housing projects, Potomac State's timeline was very aggressive with a fixed project end date aligned with the start of the new school year. Time delays would not be tolerated, even though Manheim was installing innovative hybrid framing systems consisting of wood frame combined with structural steel, as well as Hambro floor systems.
When completed, the four interconnected residential towers will be equipped with first class amenities that include: modern kitchen & dining facilities, a "Cash & Go" bar, fitness room, 74-seat theater, and a video game room.
